Rachel began dancing and gymnastics at the age of three at the Phoenix Dance Academy and the YMCA where she has studied jazz, tap, lyrical, gymnastics, ballet, contemporary, ballroom, and hip-hop.  She has performed with several professional companies. One of her favorite roles was as Peter Pan in the Peter Pan Ballet where she decided she "won't grow up" and as a result, is still just a fun-loving and playful kid!  Because of her love of children and teaching, she began teaching dance while at the Phoenix Dance Academy. 

She ultimately decided to make teaching her career and moved to Flagstaff in 2000 to enter the Education College from which she graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2004.  Rachel has been teaching the love of dance for over 25 years and is very excited to be working with the students in Cottonwood!
