**FLAMES**

Invitations for our Fire team are distributed each May.  Dancers will be chosen by teachers. Teachers will choose students who demonstrate the following characteristics during their dance classes. 

• Attend a minimum of 5 classes per week including ballet, jazz, acro and 2 additional classes of your choice - tap, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater, singing, improv etc.
• Maintain a positive, hard-working, good listening attitude at all times.
• Practice at home and show improvement.
• Arrive for classes on time, dressed in the proper dance clothes, with correct shoes & hair up. 
• Maintain good attendance in classes, avoid too many missed classes. 

The Liberty Fire teams typically attend 2 conventions with competitions each season. Typical yearly costs for team members are up to or below $2500.  This includes extra rehearsal and class time, conventions, competitions, hotel stays, costumes, and other performance opportunities throughout the year.
